When two hearts find each other, the one can’t beat without the other. „They are no longer two, but one flesh“ (Matthew 19:4-6). Sarah and Philipp didn’t chose this very popular verse by accident: When Sarah moved to the UK to work there, Philipp followed soon after to my favourite city, London.
We had our first meeting in my living room and while sitting on the couch, drinking tea, I fell in love with these two. Because of the way they look at each other, because they are so candid and because they unconsciously switched to English while telling me about how Philipp popped the question when they were on holiday.
My first impression deepened when we had a very sweet and joyful engagement session in London on a beautiful autumn day. I couldn’t wait for their wedding day! The colour palette they chose for their winter wedding was gold and midnight blue (which I LOVE!) and it showed up in every little detail. It all began with Sarah’s getting ready and ended with a fun traditional Ceilidh dance in the softly lit venue (I loved the fairy lights!), which was decorated so passionately and beautifully by the couple and their family and friends.
What touched me the most was Philipp’s speech in the evening. He said that he loved Sarah so much and I looked at her, the way she smirked and … well, let’s just say, this image will forever be stuck in my head for this is exactly how it should be. Raw emotion, deep love and the beginning of something big.
