What I love about Catalina and Anton is that they knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding: They wanted to have a great day along with their loved ones in a stylish and lovingly decorated barn, the colour of the day being lavender (literally). They both live and work in Colombia, but due to Anton’s German roots, they decided to have a destination wedding in Rottweil, Southern Germany.
In order to provide my best work I need to meet with my clients before they book me, because it is essential to me that client and photographer are on the same page (concerning the wedding, but also personally). Unfortunately, due to the great distance between Germany and Colombia, we could only meet via video chat, but this was also fine! – So, don’t worry about kilometres in between and don’t hesitate to contact me, no matter where you’re from! – I was immediately drawn by the idea of getting married in the beautiful and colourful town of Rottweil.
For her bridal bouquet, Catalina chose artificial felted lavender, which went so well with the copper bracelets she gave her bridesmaids as a gift before the ceremony. Also, the beautiful and rustic barn was decorated with real lavender, which Catalina’s uncle brought directly from the Provence in France (I LOVE lavender!), along with fairylights, wooden pieces and a lot more vintage items. Catalina’s dress and Anton’s suit were handmade by a Colombian designer
One highlight of the day was the bridal couple surprising their families and friends with an awesome dance instructor, who incited the crowd to let loose and dance the night away.
It was a day full of laughter, love, lavender and a lot of spanish-french-english-german-speaking people 🙂
