What if I told you that there’s a magical place in the black forest area, Germany? A place from the 16th century, a beautiful barn. And the best thing: You can get married there! I couldn’t believe my luck when Kerstin and Emanuel, who got to know me at another wedding the year before, booked me to capture their wedding day in Hinterzarten near Lake Titisee, which is not far away from the Swiss border. As you might know, I love travelling and even the journey down south the day before the wedding was a true blast for me because of the beautiful landscape. I met up with the lovebirds at Lake Titisee for a nice Engagement Session and afterwards I spent some quality time with them and their families while eating pizza at a restaurant – such a lovely way to start a wedding weekend!
The big day itself was also very beautiful: I got up with the sun and we started the Getting Ready at the Henslerhof, which was built in 1552, with the two just separeted by a few doors (so exciting!) They decided to have a First Look – seeing each other in a private moment before the actual ceremony – and it was so emotional and touching! The ceremony itself was set outdoors in front of hills covered with firs and before the barn party started, we took some time to shoot the portraits, lit by some beautiful september light (which I looooooved!). I enjoyed it very much, thank you so much for having me, Kerstin + Emanuel!
