Vintage wedding in a theatre

When Vanessa and Pascal visited me last year, I knew right away, that this wedding would be amazing. They dreamed of a cosy and authentic wedding with many, many details. And YES, they achieved it – in fact, they exceeded my expectations (Vanessa would say „Told you so!“:D)!

As a photographer, it’s always a pleasure to be part of the Getting Ready and to play around with details, colours and patterns – And also as a former bride, I can truly recommend having pictures taken of these special moments of the wedding day! They are so precious and I love looking at mine! The special thing (and quite funny, also) about Vanessa’s styling was, that is was done by her mother, who also did my Make-Up on my own wedding. Also, it was such a relaxed time with Vanessa’s best friend, her sister and her mother. In between the Make-Up and putting on the beautiful tull and lace wedding dress, I photographed Pascal’s Getting Ready along with their cute little dog, who was always watchful, that everything was going according to plan 😉

After the emotional ceremony, they celebrated in the KuSch Herborn, the theatre, in which I perform since 2009 as a stage actress. That’s why this was also very special to me for it felt like home! They put so much effort into the decoration, for example there were sofas outside, along with selfmade lemonade, a beautiful vintage ice cream cart and lots of flowers and lampions. It was absolutely stunning, especially when it got dark and the fairylights and the lampions were alight against the dark ceiling and the night sky.

For the portraits, we decided to have the first portrait session right after the ceremony and the second one right before sunset (I LOVE it when clients come up to me and suggest taking the portraits at the golden hour – SO. DAMN. GOOD.). We partied until the early (well, not so early) morning and had lots of fun – weddings like this one with people such as Vanessa and Pascal make me love my job over and over again! I truly love those two and I hope you’ll love these pictures 🙂
