Lillian and Yannick’s wedding was a very special one to me, because it was first of all so full of love for each other, secondly very relaxed and thirdly quite individual (wait until you spot the chicken!). They both decided that one of Yannick’s closest friends would preach at church while Lille’s father would perform the wedding itself. Personal vowes, which they wrote for each other, did the rest.

The venue was a big hall with wooden furtniture, simply decorated with basil, rosemary and lilly of the valley. Fitting to Yannick’s lumberjack-like style they cut the tree trunk-shaped wedding cake with an axe (because, why not?). We took our time to take the portraits of the bridal couple and the bridesmaids and groomsmen at the golden hour (my favourite time of day!) and continued the party at the garden of Lille’s parents.

The garden was beautifully lit with lanterns and bonfires and a big tent served as the dance floor. We enjoyed the rest of the evening with live music (Metal, baby!) and much laughter. Thanks for having me, you two!
