This sentence by Justus during their engagement session somehow stood out to me. We tend to think that marriage doesn’t change much in a relationship – after all, it’s just a ring on your finger, right? Personally, I think there’s more to it than that. Being married is hard. Blending two families and lives is hard. It’s (literally) a lifetime of commitment, of ups and downs you can’t just simply walk away from.<\/p>\n
But it’s oh so worth it. The ring on your finger is just a reminder that there’s this one person in your life that will always be there for you, no matter what. That will support and love you, during all these ups and downs. It’s a promise to cherish each other and to grow old with, to experience the wonders of life together.<\/p>\n
